letting our silence speak for those who can't
11-year-old Corina Boone and 7-year-old Amariah Boone are excited to raise money for missions with F.R.E.E. International. To do so, Corina dreamed up Operation Silent Freedom. The sisters will be staying silent for 24 hours, or one whole day, on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day - January 11, 2023. Their goal is to raise 2,880 dollars. If you are wondering why, it`s becouse 2,880 is the average number of new human trafficking victims each day. Corina and Mari decided to be silent to signify how the victims of human trafficking don`t have a say about what happens in their lives. Did you know that the United States is ranked in the top three worst human trafficking countries? It`s true! "If we work hard enough, we can get that to change!" Corina says. "Yeah! And we are going to!" agrees Mari.
